THE OWNERS:
We just wanted to say thank you very much for the testimonials you have shared with other families about how much you love our centre! We often hear that the reason parents are reaching out to us is because they have heard wonderful things about our centre and staff from YOU, our existing parents.
During COVID especially, we know you value our efforts, and we wanted to let you know that we value your efforts as well. Together, we make this all work! From the bottom of our hearts – THANK YOU!!
CHEF CHERYL:
We are starting a new menu this month.
Stay tuned, as we will have a day where we will have cuisine from Paula’s culture – Portugal
INFANTS:
This month we will be focusing on colours, shapes and sorting & matching objects.
We will also explore textures, solids and liquids through sensory activities.
The warmer weather is coming. Please bring extra clothes and don’t forget to check your child’s bag for wet clothes.
Special dates:
- March 17 – St. Patrick’s Day (wear green)
TODDLERS:
March is here! Soon it will be spring and no more snow!!
This month we have some exciting themes we know the toddlers will love. We are starting off the month learning all about transportation: trains, planes, and automobiles. Then we are doing an entire week on Dinosaurs, another on Peppa Pig and lastly Paw Patrol!!!
We also have some fun St Patrick’s day activities planned and of course, we will continue to practice our please and thank you’s, as well as putting on our own shoes and outdoor clothing.
Special dates:
- March 17 – St Patrick’s Day (wear green)
PRESCHOOL:
Spring is on the way in preschool.
We will be busy planting little seeds that will grow into big plants for our garden outside.
By planting, children will be working on fine motor skills – filling pots up with soil and placing seeds in the soil. Children will be enthusiastic and excited to wait, wait, wait for something magical to happen.
Children who garden learn responsibility by taking care of something. We will water and pull weeds out daily. They will learn patience and will observe for something to sprout out of the soil. Unfortunately we will learn disappointment because not all of us have green thumbs, some plants don’t grow! ☹
- On March 17 we will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day by wearing green and going on a Lephrechaun hunt.
The warm, wet weather is coming. Please bring extra clothes and don’t forget to check bags for wet stuff. Don’t forget to replenish the bags.
