OWNER:

FEW NOTES:

  • We will be having a special Easter lunch on Wed April 13th
  • April 1st, we opened to full capacity after two long years of managing Covid – but we are still treading cautiously.
  • Reminder: we are unavailable to answer the phones during morning screening hours (730am-9am). Please send an email or leave a message and we will return your call as soon as we can after screening has been completed.
  • We are receiving tons of calls for daycare spots, if you are in need of an infant spot and haven’t reached out yet, our existing families come first, so let us know asap!!

CHEF CHERYL:

We had a change in plans!  We enjoyed some Italian cuisine to celebrate Ms. Christina in March.   This month of April we will enjoye cuisine from Portugal to celebrate Ms. Paula.

 

INFANTS:

Spring is in the air!

Just a reminder to provide rain gear, rain boots/outdoor shoes and a lighter jacket with the warmer weather.

With the warmer weather, we are going to explore nature through art & sensory activities, as well as gardening.

  • We will celebrate International book day on Monday April 4, by bringing our favorite story to share with everyone.
  • April 22nd – Earth Day (children will learn about taking care of the planet)

 

TODDLER:

April showers bring May flowers!

Welcome to our new toddlers this month. We will continue to learn our alphabet (letters), numbers, shapes and colours with fun activities, watch out for the new emergent curriculum based on the children’s interests posted every week.

Don’t forget to send in extra clothing especially socks, pants and shirts as the weather consistently changes from morning to afternoon, also extra gloves/mittens, rain boots.

  • April is International book day, please bring in a special book your child likes on Monday April 4 (please label everything).
  • We are also planning an Easter Egg hunt Thursday April 14
  • Earth day is Friday April 22, we will wear blue and have special recycling activities and pick up garbage in the yard.

PRESCHOOL:

Reading allows us to be transported into a world of imagination and magic. Reading for pleasure can benefit a child’s education, social and cognitive development. We read books everyday as a group or by themselves.

It’s hard to believe that the Easter bunny is on his way. There will be lots of fun stories, activities and art to help celebrate Easter.

Important dates:

  • On Monday April 4, we will celebrate International Children Book Day by bringing our favorite story to share with friends. Let’s promote literacy and inspire a love for reading in every child.
  • We will have our traditional Easter egg hunt on Thursday April 14, followed by a little Easter party
  • April 22nd – Earth Day (children will learn about taking care of the planet and make bird feeders to show how important animals are in the world
