STAFF SPOTLIGHT:
Beginning each month in our newsletter, we will choose one staff member to focus on & share some insight about them so that you can know your teachers just a little bit better!
This month it is Mrs. Ang who is one of our amazing toddler teachers! It will be 4 months in June 2021 since Mrs. Ang has been with us. We are so lucky to have her on our team! Her employees describe her as:
“kind, intelligent, great worker, team player, reliable, easy going, patient, creative, sweet, hardworking, dedicated, compassionate, diligent”.
INFANTS:
It’s going to be a busy month as we say hello to the sun and warm weather!
We will learn about insects and nature by exploring the great outdoors through open ended art, science and sensory activities.

TODDLERS:
Spring has finally sprung!
This month in the toddler class we will learn all about family, Hawaiian culture, the circus and of course celebrate Canada Day!!
We will practice new words weekly based on our themes and do some exciting new art. We will work on our fine motor skills in the classroom by dressing and undressing our new baby dolls and learn new dances like the hula and limbo! We will also continue to work on putting on our own shoes and becoming more independent.
Due to the warm weather, we will have lots of water play out in the sunshine. We are looking forward to seeing all we can learn this month.
To help us celebrate our themes we have some exciting spirit days this month.
- June 3 – Hawaiian Beach day (wear your best beach clothes)
- June 18 -Teddy Bear Picnic (bring in your favourite teddy bear)
- June 20 – Father’s Day
- June 30 – Canada day Party! (wear red and white)
PRESCHOOL:
We are ready for June. It’s going to be busy, as we say hello to the warmth and sun. It’s also a month we say good bye to some friends who are moving on to new adventures. Kindergarten here they come!!
Tiny Hoppers will be hosting a grad photoshoot on Thursday June 10th starting at 9 am. Please have the children at the centre for 8:30 am to get ready. They need to bring an adult, white, button down shirt with a collar to use as a graduation gown.
We will be hosting a graduation ceremony for the children on Thursday June 24th (unfortunately no parents are allowed to attend due to COVID but we will find a way to involve you – more information to follow)
This time of the year is a great time to experiment, try new things and discover the outdoors.
We will be trying new stem activities and open ended play.
The children will be challenged and will get messy. Please have extra clothes and a towel in their bag each day. Please check their bag every night for wet clothes.
