Message from our Director: Time flies! We have fun filled festivities planned this month, join us Saturday Dec 2nd as we take part in the Riverside South Toy Mountain Parade starting at 1pm at St. Jerome and ending at Bernard Grand-Maître. The classes will be performing their annual Christmas concerts and will host a pot luck event; sign-up sheets will be posted a week prior to the concert date.We will also be collecting food donations for two Christmas hampers and I will post the list of needed items on the parent board and on our closed Facebook page.

Just a reminder to all parents that we are closed from Dec 23rd and reopened Jan 2nd.

Miss Cheryl will also have a variety of fun treats to give the children during the last 2 weeks before Christmas.

Our Owners-As we approach the Holiday Season, we just want to thank our Tiny Hoppers parents for all the kind words, notes and emails that we have received since purchasing in February of this year! They mean so much to us and more importantly the staff,  who work endlessly to ensure your little ones are loved and cared for!

As a family, my children and I had very humble beginnings, we believe in paying forward when the opportunity arises and certain charities are dear to our hearts. Here is a list of charities that Tiny Hoppers Riverside South was able to help in some way in 2017:

Make A Wish Foundation – Single Mom Back to School/Work Initiative – Christmas Hampers — PJ Patrol for Children’s Aid – Cocktails for Cancer – RSCA (Canada Day & Christmas Parade & Toy Mountain & Fall Funfest & Date Night) – The Gathering

Tiny Tykes-The next 3 weeks we hope to have snow so that we can do fun snow activities.

December 4th -8th: Snow painting- with brushes and spray bottles.

December 11th-15th: We will be working together to make snow forts.

December 18th -22nd: The classes will compete in a snowman competition- which class will make the best snowman?

We will be planning our annual Christmas concert; the children will learn 3 new Christmas songs to sing for you. The concert date is still in the works; however ours will be around 3:30pm on Dec.19th

Tiny Tots-The children have been practicing their self-help skills by putting their snow pants on followed by boots, coats, hats and mittens. Great job by all! The holidays are fast approaching. We are singing our songs for the concert and making beautiful ornaments for your Christmas trees! The children are interested in playing at the dramatic play area with the kitchen making food, doing art activities and the snowy outdoors.

December 4th-8th: We will talk and learn about food and make our own pizza for lunch that week.

December 11th-15th: We will be budding artists,   making a lot of crafts and activities.

December 18th-22nd: We will talk about winter and Christmas. We will make 3 ingredient buttery short   bread cookies.

Before and After school-HO HO HO Christmas time is here, the children are so excited about the month of December. We will be decorating our classroom for this holiday. We will be making a mind map for Christmas. They will be encouraged to share their ideas about Christmas and what they would like to do. The children will be painting and decorating a Christmas tree and we will have lots more fun activities to look forward to. We will be practicing 3 songs for the Christmas concert which will be held Dec.19th at 4:15pm.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays!
