Our preschoolers at Tiny Hoppers Sportsworld have been fascinated with all the insects that they see on the outdoor playground. To expand on this interest, our teachers brought some caterpillars inside and created a small habitat so they could comfortably eat and cocoon themselves. Everyday, the children would enter the room fascinated to see the progress. Their teachers were able to explain all the stages of a butterfly and used this interest to plan other activities. At the end of the cycle, the children were able to see the full butterflies and then the butterflies were released into nature. What fun and exciting learning at Tiny Hoppers Sportsworld!
