Summer is all about having fun and getting messy with hands on activities! We have observed that our children absolutely love hands on activities that they can get results from. This fun and engaging activity checks all of those things off! All of our children from toddlers to preschoolers were able to get messy and create their very own tie-dye masterpiece! Each child brought something white from home to tie-dye for themselves, and the results were spectacular!
With some hand over hand guidance, each child happily engaged in this activity tactfully and creatively. Anyone can create an appealing tie-dye design, and that’s the beauty of this type of art! Tie-dye is all about creating without the fear of messing up. No two designs were the same and that’s okay! This teaches our children to let go of self judgement and judgement of others, at such a young age! This activity also creates a self of belonging, expression, engagement and well being, four foundations of healthy development that we strive to follow here at Kanata North!
