Enjoy Christmas Carolers and a Tree Lighting
This year, the Museum of History will host its first-ever Christmas tree lighting. Bring the whole family to enjoy a night of stunning displays, hot chocolate, ginger cookies, and the festive sounds of Christmas carolers. We can’t think of a better way to kick off the festivities!
Visit the Christmas Glow Gardens
Bond with the kids this holiday season at the biggest indoor Christmas festival in Ottawa. The Glow Gardens offers interactive displays, sculptures, food trucks, and much more. When the kids have tuckered you out, you can drop them off at the playground and head over to the brewery to enjoy a festive drink or shop for unique gifts among the vendors.
Hit the Hills at Mount Pakenham
Mount Pakenham is the place to go to enjoy skiing, snowshoeing, and tubing with the kids. The tube park is the perfect place to take your younger kids, with all-day tubing from 11 am-5 pm for only $12 plus tax on the weekends and holidays. If you’re ready to show the older kids all of your best ski or snowboard moves, every Tuesday and Saturday from 4 pm to 9 pm is Family Date Night that offers 2 for 1 lift tickets and rentals.
Take a Drive Through the Magic of Lights
What can you do when the weather hits those low temperatures? Hop in the car and head out to the Magic of Lights. This 2-kilometer drive-through light show and eye-popping 300 light display will help get everyone into the festive spirits in the warm comfort of your own vehicle. And to make this even more appealing, each ticket purchased sends proceeds to the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario!
