An educator had observed that the preschoolers enjoy having music being played throughout the day in the classroom and LOVE having dance parties at the end of the day! She was able to bring in a big piano from home for the children to try! The preschoolers were so happy and they took turns playing the keys and listening together. This was a great way for the children to practice patience by waiting their turn and some of the children were listening closely and following the patterns or when the keys light up. Some of the children grabbed pillows and lay down beside the piano and pretended to “fall asleep” to the music. The next day the educator also added drums and sticks for the children to also play along with!
