PRESCHOOL GRADUATION JUNE 14th:

Our goal is to have it take place in the yard with both Preschool classes after we close.  With the parents and siblings, it would be close to 100 in attendance, so we ask that you adhere to only parents & siblings in attendance.

We also ask that if you can please bring a fold up chair to sit on, as the little stools can be used for the siblings but would be challenging for the parents.

More information will be sent approx. a week before graduation when we can anticipate the weather conditions.

CHEF, CHERYL:

Miss Cheryl is going to try an “all vegetarian” menu for June.  It has been more and more challenging with all the children’s allergies, diet and religious restrictions. Miss Cheryl, a vegetarian herself, has found some additional amazing recipes to try out!

INFANTS:

This month, we will be focusing on colours and insects.

Also, we will be celebrating Father’s Day.  We will be making special arts for that special day!

Like cool science experiments, spa activities and water play to name a few.  As always, we continue to work on our independence and manners.

We would like to remind parents to have sunscreen on their little ones prior to drop off each day. As well, as having a lot of extra clothes available in their bags for the days we get wet.

PRESCHOOL:

Here we are beginning the first month of summer.  With summer weather now here, we all try to dress to best survive the heat.  We ask for your help in keeping your children injury-free by dressing them in sneakers with no laces (Velcro), or sturdy sandals.  We notice children tend to trip over themselves more often in flip-flops and backless sandals.

Please provide a sunhat every day.  Check bags in the morning for everything including wet clothes from the day before and ensure you replenish.  June is the month we start to say goodbye to some of our friends as they start their new adventures.  May you all have a safe and fun summer.

Days we are celebrating:

  • June 1 – is Dinosaur Day! Friends can bring in a dinosaur or dinosaur book to share with their classmates.  If you have a dinosaur shirt please wear it!
  • June 5 – donut day
  • June 14 – preschool graduation (for grad children, siblings and parents only) please arrive dressed in your white adult size dress shirt, put on backwards – we will help them once they arrive. Please have children come into their classroom while parents head to the yard.  (rain date TBD as we want it in the yard)
