JANUARY 2020!

January 3, 2020

THE OWNERS:

On your return in January, you will notice that we have painted the two Preschool Rooms, which are the last of the classes needing to be painted. Keeping the centre clean, organized and maintained is a focus of ours and it helps give a welcoming environment for our families – not to mention the wonderful smell coming from the kitchen!

THE DIRECTOR, Ms CARON

Beginning each month in our newsletter, we will choose one staff member to focus on & share some insight about them so that you can know your teachers just a little bit better!  This month it is Ms Cheryl, our cook!

It will be 4 years in April 2020 since Ms Cheryl has been feeding your little ones! After spending a day in her shoes, I came to admire her even more, all those dietary requirements! Her co-workers describe her as:  down to earth, funny, hardworking, creative, kind, happy, expressive, chatty, inclusive, flexible, loving and loyal!”

PRESCHOOL:

Welcome back! We hope you had a restful holiday filled with family, love and laughter. The teachers are looking forward to a New Year of fun and exciting activities.

We will be celebrating National hat day January 15th and we encourage the children to wear their favorite crazy hat that day.

Winter is a great time for children to explore the outdoors here in Canada. We strive to get outside everyday so please ensure your child is dressed appropriately and prepared to participate in the program.

Keep a look out for exciting outdoor activities we will be posting throughout the month like: “bring your sled to school day”! We can’t wait to see what the New Year brings.

Wishing you joy, love and prosperity for 2020.

Love from the Preschool team!

TODDLERS:

Happy New Year Toddler parents!

We have some amazing activities to start off the year. In the first week of January, we will  be learning about the Arctic Winter Animals. In the second week, we will be learning about different kinds of pets. In week 3, we will pick up from where we stopped in 2018 and continue practicing colours! Lastly, in week 4 we will be exploring different shapes and patterns. Wishing you a Happy and Prosperous 2020!

INFANTS:

Welcome back!

For this month, the infants will be exploring    a variety of winter Sensory, Gross Motor and Fine Motor activities. Activities include winter sensory bins/bags, snowman ball toss and winter basket grab!
