DECEMBER NEWSLETTER

December 2, 2019

CHEF

A new December menu will be filled with theme flavored foods to coincide with all the fun activities that will be happening this month at Tiny Hoppers Riverside South including a Christmas Turkey lunch on December 17th!

DIRECTOR

Beginning each month in our newsletter, we will choose one staff member to focus on & share some insight about them so that you can know your teachers just a little bit better!

This month it is MRS. CHRISTINA from the Preschool Room –  4 years with us!

Did you know that she had a home daycare for many years before joining us!  Her co-workers describe her as dedicated, loyal, passionate, motherly, loving, warm, creative, dedicated, the mostest funny (inside joke), patient, helpful, team player, inclusive, knowledgeable, thoughtful, would give the shirt off her back and Mickey Mouse lover.

PRESCHOOL

December is a month of celebration and giving. The children will be busy making lots of art to decorate your homes. We will also be baking lots of Christmas treats for the month. We will be busy pouring and mixing. The Christmas season is also a wonderful time of the year to talk to the children about families in need and the traditions of giving and sharing with others.

Here are the special days to remember:

  • Dec 4th PJ day + polar express day
  • Tuesday Dec 10th Green/Grinch day
  • Thurs Dec 12 we are building a gingerbread house
  • Monday Dec 16th hot chocolate + movie day
  • Thursday Dec 19th Christmas concert at 3:00pm
  • Friday Dec 20th Red day wear your Santa hat
  • Monday Dec 23rd PJ day + book day

The children will have many learning activities this month by counting marshmallows, beading jingle bells and making ice ramps for trains. Since it is true that children learn from the actions and attitude of the adults around them, we might consider the following Christmas gift suggestions:

  • To an enemy, Forgiveness
  • To an opponent, Tolerance
  • To a friend, Our heart
  • To all, Charity
  • To oneself, Respect
  • To every child, a good example

From all of us, to all of you

Merry Christmas and good health and happiness in 2020.
