Infants-Who’s ready for Ocean and Sea Activities?
We will be exploring with a variety of ocean Sensory bags and bottles. To work on our gross motor skills, we will be learning ocean animal actions!
We are excited to celebrate our Mommies at the Mother’s Day Tea Party which will be on May 10th!

Toddlers-Week 1: We are exploring different sounds with our music theme. We will be playing a few musical instruments and have a melodious week!
Week 2: We will be learning about our body parts. The children will find the body parts (Sensory/Cognitive) and we will play the body part action game (Gross motor).
Week 3: We will be learning and recognizing numbers and letters this week with activities like sorting numbers and letters (cognitive); counting as a group (Social studies); and doing a letter reveal craft (Art).
Week 4: The theme for this week is bugs! We will be making a bug (Art), making bug slime (Science/Sensory) and we are going to count the bugs (cognitive)

Preschoolers-With the spring weather finally here, outdoor play will be in full swing! Watching television, playing video games and spending time on tablets is very typical for many children, but not at Tiny Hoppers! We are going to change this with a new and exciting outdoor program. You will see many changes to the playground within the month. There are numerous benefits of outdoor play: exploration, building and gross motor, which includes running, jumping, riding a bike, muscle strengthening & flexibility. Our bodies work best when they get some fresh air & sunshine every day. Children need time alone as well as with others to make up games, figure things out and amuse themselves. (please make sure your children are dressed for the ever changing weather). Being outside gives them the opportunities to practice, take risks, prioritize, negotiate and multitask. The preschool teachers have started to put together a new loose parts area with wooden blocks and boxes which is a big hit. The music center is up and running and we already have some talented musicians. Children will be building, creating, inventing and playing to have fun as well as learning to be outside and appreciate nature. We will be encouraging active play with fun games, yoga and dancing in a natural environment. If any parents have wood pieces to help build our loose parts section and obstacle course, we would be happy to take them off your hands. Please speak to the teachers about what kind of wood pieces they need.
