April 2018 Newsletter

April 3, 2018

Message from our director-  This month we have Picture day! On Thursday April 5th, the photographer will be in to take pictures as well as graduation pictures. Please make sure your child is NOT wearing green as it is green screened and we wouldn’t want the children to have a floating head.

With the warmer weather approaching, we would like to remind parents to make sure everything is labelled with your child’s name.  If you have splash pants, you can provide those instead of having your child wear heavy snow pants.

Tiny Tots-Finally the warmer weather is upon us! The   children are very interested in seeing the birds flying outdoors, the flowers in our books in our reading corner, insects and bugs and the plants growing at our science table (celery and green onion), singing songs especially old McDonald had   a farm and dancing to music throughout the day! April 2-6th- We will talk about birds and flowers (Exploration and Creativity). April 9-13th – We will focus on insects and planting. Words from our Owner- We are thrilled to announce that the Ministry of Education has granted us approval to proceed with opening another TODDLER room and an INFANT room! Once the City grants us the permit, the plan is to start construction when the current school year ends in June, and we hope to have the rooms up and ready for September 2018. As a result, we will not be offering a summer Rec program this year due to the renovations. We are so happy to be able to provide these much needed additional spots in this growing community!
