Valentine's Day Tea Social

February 15, 2023

During the Month of February, Tiny Hoppers Park Lawn Celebrated Valentine’s day a little bit differently!

For Valentine’s day, instead of focusing on one specific day, we celebrated the entire month.  We began by explaining the meaning of Valentine’s day to children as a day/month to express love and gratitude towards loved ones and friends.

We use Valentine’s Day as an opportunity to engage in a fun and interactive holiday experience. It’s important in the early years to reiterate the true meaning of the holiday: being kind to one another and celebrating each individual for who they are, despite our differences. This will not only ensure each child has a happy holiday but also continues to inspire self-confidence and self-love, which is vital to kids’ personal growth.

This year at Tiny Hoppers Park Lawn, we celebrated with a Valentine’s Day Social Tea event! Families were invited into our center to join their children in the classroom! They had the opportunity to engage in different curriculum activities with children such as different sensory and art activities. They enjoyed some “ice tea” and baked goods with their families and had the opportunity to engage and connect with other families from their child’s classrooms

Families enjoyed their time during this event and we decided to make this an annual event moving forward!
