Car Tracks

February 27, 2017

Here is one of our infants making a craft with paint and his car. This activity is great to promote fine and gross motor development as the child has to grasp and car and use large arm motions to move the car across the page. This also helps us build the child’s vocabulary as we can interact with the child using words such as Vroom! Car! Wheels! as well as naming the colour on the page. A fantastic sensory activity as we can hear the wheels, see the colour of the paint and  feel the wet sticky paint. With older children we can talk about where the car is going, perhaps on a trip, to grandma’s house or to the store!
This is one of the many activities you will find children doing every day at Tiny Hoppers!
