It’s October! October brings us many things to be thankful for! We are lucky to celebrate Thanksgiving with our friends and families, as well as watching the leaves change ad show us beautiful colors!
But what we love the MOST about October of course, is Halloween!! Our toddlers and preschoolers have been showing great interest in Halloween! Of course they do, as this is what they are also seeing in their daily lives all around their communities’!
Our creative educators planned many Halloween activities that helps foster all areas of development in our children’s lives. From fine motor cutting with scissors, to scooping and pouring with non-conventional items, to creative fine motor tuff trays, to gross motor spooky dramatic play haunted houses, to goopy-slimy-spooky sensory activities and even a trip to the pumpkin patch to pick a pumpkin to bring home and do even more activities with, all of these activities foster great development, knowledge and growth in some very important learning milestones for young children.
Hoppy Halloween from Kanata North!
