We had a blast celebrating Earth Day here at Kanata North! Teaching children about the significance of Earth Day is so important because this is the planet they will be growing up on! Caring for our earth is so important, and what better way to ensure the next generations do so, than by teaching them while they are still young.
Our children focused on the importance of reducing, reusing and recycling, as well as keeping our land clean for animals, and our oceans, lakes, and rivers clean for our water animals!
They loved playing with reusable loose part items, as well as sorting trash, and saving the sea animals by cleaning the “garbage” out of a fun tuff tray activity! Our children are learning all about having compassion for this beautiful planet that we live on.
