Last week we had a cold snap in Ottawa, that being said our toddler classroom was not able to go outside, but that didn’t stop them from being able to enjoy the snow! Our toddler classroom enjoyed having their sensory bin filled with snow which created an awesome sensory(touch) activity. The educators added squeeze bottles filled with paint for the children to explore and work on their colour recognition, as well as their fine motor skills. With this sensory activity, the children were able to touch the snow with their bare hands and feel the coldness of the snow, as well as being able to see the snow melt in their hands.
