5 Fun Fall Activities Your Kids Will Love

October 10, 2018

Fall is such a fun and cozy time of year. As we trade in our t-shirts for sweaters, our ice-beverages for hot pumpkin spice, and our ball caps for toques, the events are just starting to gear up for the season. From hayrides, to pumpkin patches, to kicking through the colourful leaves, there are so many fun fall activities that your kids will love. Here are a few of our seasonal favourites!

Visiting a Pumpkin Patch

This season, don’t miss the opportunity to drive over to your local pumpkin patch to let your kids pick out the perfect jack-o-lantern for Halloween. Many pumpkin patch farms love to get into the spirit of the harvest season with activities for the kids, like hayrides and haunted houses. There’s also delicious homemade goods that are usually available to purchase on the farms like pumpkin pie!

Pumpkin Carving

It doesn’t stop there! Once you find that perfect pumpkin, it’s time to carve it. Nothing gets kids in the Halloween spirit quite like a pumpkin-carving session. To turn up the fun factor, let your kids design the pattern and while you carve, let them decorate a small pumpkin on their own with markers, glitter, and other crafts.

Corn Maze

If you have an adventurous kid, take them out to a corn maze this fall for an a-maze-ing family bonding experience. Just remember to pack some snacks and water as all that running around can make your little ones ravenous.

Playing in the Leaves

Kids love to be silly and messy. And when the leaves start to fall, your backyard becomes the perfect spot for them to get out some of their energy in a safe environment. Just rake up a big pile, remove any twigs, and enjoy some hot cocoa while you watch your kids play for hours — jumping, kicking, and rolling in the leaves.

Halloween

It’s hard not to center all the fall activities around Halloween. It’s an occasion that really brings out the kid in all of us, and gives the kids a chance to stay up late, dress up as their favourite characters, create unique decorations, and run around the neighbourhood collecting candy.

At Tiny Hoppers, we have a whole new set of activities planned for your kids this fall. They’ll follow a carefully designed learning experience that is both fun and educational! Contact us today to learn more.
