Balloons are a staple in the toddler room! Because the preschool graduation was the day before we had a whole bunch of balloons left over so we gave them to the toddler room! They had so much fun playing and throwing around the balloons!
The educators added the parachute so the children could put the balloons on top of it and flap the parachute to make the balloons fly! The children took turns with the balloons and shared them with each other. This is great practice for turn taking and the children to understand patience and sharing. This is also developing their gross motor skills by hitting, throwing or kicking the balloons and practicing their fine motor skills by holding the balloons or holding it by the piece that ties it.
