Well, who doesn’t like to play with snow but sometimes when we can’t go outside when it’s too cold or icy. We brought the snow inside to play with, we got see how fast snow melted and this activity turned in to a great science experiment.
Tuff table has been always a big hit at Tiny hoppers. Most of the time when children walk it to our room they are very curious to seen what is in our TUFF table. As you can see on the pictures we have so many loose parts related to their interest to explore. While playing at the TUFF table children are able to enhance their fine motor skills , cognitive skills and turn taking skills and much more.
We filled our sensory bins with some loose parts and the children had open ended choices to create their models. Some children created snow flakes, while others made the ornaments. Some of them had fun feeling the soft texture of cotton balls and called it snow. Children worked on their social and communication skills with short and long sentences.
