Here at Tiny Hoppers we love when seasons change. Seasons changing brings so many opportunities for the children to learn new skills and enhance the ones they are learning. We love using lots of loose parts for the children to explore open-ended activities. We set up a sweeping activity for the children to work on their gross motor skills while having fun learning to keep a clean classroom. Early literacy skills are essential to start early. We incorporate this through sensory trays on the table where children can draw the designs they see. On the tuff tray we explored a fall tree and the children could place the leaves anywhere they wanted to. Some of the children threw them up in the air to see how they would fall. We can’t forget our lovely fall treats, so we set up a Starbucks cafe for the children to explore many different skills. The children could put lids on and off, separate the stacked cups, use the tongs to pick up the food, and best of all have fun with their friends and teachers by making their own custom drink order.
