At Tiny Hoppers Richmond East, we have always believed that a school is more than a place to learn, it is a community that grows together. This year’s graduation was a beautiful reminder of just how special that journey can be.
We proudly celebrated 16 graduates from our Tykes classroom as they prepare to begin kindergarten. For some of these children, this celebration was especially meaningful. They were part of our very first group of Squirts when Tiny Hoppers Richmond East opened four years ago, beginning their journey with us as infants. Our long-standing teachers have had the incredible privilege of watching them grow from tiny babies into confident, independent, and strong young children. We want to share our appreciation and recognition to the families that have trusted us to care for their children from infants all the way to Kindergarten! Thank you for being with us from the very beginning of your childcare journey.
Over the years, we have watched their personalities blossom and their confidence grow. We have seen them learn to make decisions, solve problems, build friendships, and proudly do things for themselves. These are the achievements that make us most proud.
Graduation day was a joyful celebration filled with happy tears, laughter, and proud moments. The children performed two group song and dance numbers, gave speeches about what they hope to be when they grow up; from pilots and doctors to dancers and soccer players. They also proudly received their graduation certificates! Families came together to share memories, take photos, and enjoy refreshments, while each graduate received a special gift and personalized cookies from the school.
Most of all, the day was a celebration of the relationships that have grown alongside the children. To all of our families, thank you for trusting us with your children and allowing us to be part of such important years of their lives. We are especially grateful to those families who have gone the extra mile, some traveling farther to ensure their children could continue being part of our school community. Your trust and commitment mean so much to us!
As our graduates head off to different kindergartens, we know they are ready for their next adventure. We will miss having them here, but we could not be prouder of the children they have become. Congratulations to our 2026 Tykes graduates! We are so proud of you and so grateful to have been part of your journey.
