Back to School Starts with a Bang at Tiny Hoppers Woodgrove
The school year has started with a burst of excitement here at Tiny Hoppers Woodgrove! Our children have already been busy with engaging activities that not only make learning fun but also create lasting memories.
We kicked things off by participating in the Terry Fox Run, where our little ones enthusiastically took part in raising money for cancer research. It was a heartwarming event that allowed us to teach the values of perseverance and giving back to the community. The pride on their faces as they completed the run was a beautiful reminder of the power of coming together for a cause.
Next, we celebrated World Literacy Day in style! Children and staff dressed up as their favorite book characters, turning the classrooms into a world of stories and imagination. From beloved classics to modern tales, the day was filled with creativity, as everyone got to share their favorite books and dive into exciting stories. It was the perfect way to inspire a love of reading early on.
One of the most exciting activities was when the children got to explore the world of farm animals in a hands-on learning experience. We brought the farm outdoors by setting up sensory bins, each representing different aspects of farm life. As the children played, they learned not only about various farm animals but also about the different types of food each animal eats. Through a teacher-created game, they matched the animals to their favorite foods, making the learning process both interactive and educational. This sensory exploration allowed the children to engage with their surroundings in a fun and creative way, reinforcing their understanding of animals and their needs.
With such a fantastic start, we are thrilled to see how the rest of the year will unfold. At Tiny Hoppers Woodgrove, we’re committed to creating an environment where children can learn, grow, and have a blast every step of the way!
