SENSORY WALK

Tiny Hoppers

As the squirts navigate through this active environment they are benefitting from balancing skills, full body exploration and sensory stimulation. Squirts are looking for the sensory outputs in both tactile touch and moving their bodies over.  The children are emerging there own understanding of what risks they feel comfortable with. Educators in the class modeled how to maneuver through this sensory walk. Some of us got distracted with the popping sounds that are happening under our feet. The expressions on the children’s faces tells us a story about how they felt in this experience they kept returning back to this responsive space.
