Fine Motor Skills

April 4, 2021

Fine motor skills involve the use of the small muscles that control the hand, fingers, and thumb. At Tiny Hoppers Rockland we incorporate many different fine motor activities to  improve the children’s fine motor skills. They help children perform important tasks like feeding themselves, grasping toys, buttoning and zipping clothes, writing, drawing, and more. The ability to complete self-care and every day tasks helps a child’s self esteem and confidence to increase.  Here you see our toddler class doing the ribbon drop, they have to feed a ribbon into a small hole, it seems easy, but when you’re a younger toddler it can be a tough task!
