To fully immerse themselves in the spirit of Lunar New Year, our JK friends performed a Lion Dance to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse. Using recycled materials, the class built its own lion head and attached it to a red blanket. Moving in sync with music typically played during Lunar New Year celebrations, children performed the dance in the playground for their friends. It is a wonderful way to immerse themselves in a cultural tradition in an inclusive way.
