With this incredibly snowy Winter we’ve had so far, our growing toddlers have been loving shoveling the snow any chance we get to get outside, so our amazing educators thought to bring the snowy Winter inside! Our toddlers worked on their big muscles and gross motor skills by making scooping, lifting and pushing actions with the shovels, as well as their hand-eye coordination and dexterity skills, improving their overall coordination and strength. The educators expanded on this activity by talking about the sensory aspect of it as they talked about the type of snow it is, soft and fluffy, or deep and strong!
