Our little friends took a field trip to our local grocery store to pick out some pumpkins.
When they returned back to the centre they listened to a story on going to the pumpkin patch as they painted their jack-o-lanterns.
The educators scented the paint with different scents like pumpkin spice, lemon, cinnamon, etc. It gave the children the opportunity to use their sense of smell along with using their fine motor skills. This activity gave then little ones a sense of belonging buy choosing the pumpkin they want to take home and allowed them to choose the colours they wanted to create the wonderful creation.
