The weather is crisp and the leaves are falling, its finally Fall! Our children’s first view of the falling leaves outside had them so excited about the Season change! Because they are so interested, our educators have been planning many Fall themed activities, take a look at what our toddlers and preschoolers have been up to! From gross motor and literacy skill focus, the educators set up an apple picking gross motor theme in the room using trees and apple cut outs! The children in preschool’s job was to pick up a fallen apple off the ground, and match it with the correct lowercase/ uppercase letter. Our toddlers worked on their fine motor and grasping skills as they stuck the “apple” pompoms onto the sticky wall tree! Our preschoolers also focused on their memory skills as they played a leaf matching game, how challenging, yet fun! The activity possibilities are endless! Our toddlers enjoyed some Fall art as they painted apples and leaves on trees. The tuff trays are out in full swing and full of great Fall loose parts for all of our children to freely and creatively explore, manipulate, and have fun with!
We are so excited about the change of Seasons and all of the fun, enriching and hands-on learning experiences that we are able to provide for our children!
Happy Fall Y’all!
