Our Preschool friends absolutely love two things, exploring with loose parts and of course, Christmas time! What better way to celebrate the Holidays and incorporate loose parts play than to decorate our own Christmas tree! Our educators used tape to build a tree on the table, and our friends had a blast using the different loose parts pieces to create their very own beautiful Christmas masterpiece!
Playing with loose parts encourages children’s creative and critical thinking skills by encouraging them to use their imaginations and gives them the freedom to arrange and rearrange their creations. This allows the focus of the experience to be on the process, rather than the product which creates a memorable learning experience!
