Our Preschool 2 room set up an incredible dramatic play area for the children. They went above and beyond setting up props and using their creativity to bring this “Hoppers Hospital” to life in their classroom.
Complete with ambulances to ride, their “patients” set up on beds and waiting in the waiting area, and a “pill filling station”. My personal favorite from this set up is the X-ray machine and casting station made of socks that friends can sign and draw on, and the X-ray viewing area on the light table (so cool!).
It was such a great experience for the children to take on different roles of doctor, nurse, patient, x-ray tech, etc. and act out different scenarios. This is so important for children’s social-emotional development, their language skills, and cognitive development as it prepares them for real-life situations through play.
