Happy New Year!

The children were very excited to return to school after our Christmas break. It has been heartwarming to see how quickly they settled back into their routines, reconnecting with their friends and teachers. Returning to familiar schedules has helped everyone feel comfortable, confident, and ready to learn again.

With an abundance of snow in our yard, the children have been enjoying a variety of winter activities. They have been actively engaged in sensory play as they explored the texture, temperature, and movement of snow. Art activities inspired by winter allowed them to express their creativity, while gross motor play—such as running, climbing, and building in the snow—helped strengthen their coordination and physical skills.

In addition, the children have been deeply involved in dramatic play, using their imagination to create stories and role-play winter scenarios. Whether pretending to run a snow café, build a winter village, or care for baby animals in the cold weather, dramatic play encouraged language development, cooperation, and social interaction.

Overall, January has been a joyful and energetic start to the new year. We look forward to continuing to explore, learn, and grow together as the winter season continues.
