Circle time is a short activity that helps teachers develop positive relationships with children. We encourage the class to sing a welcome song in the morning to make them comfortable and gets them ready to start a new day. You may also sing a lunchtime song or read an exciting story before they sit for lunch .
Our toddler teachers lead circle time today; we brought books and puppets in order to engage them. Children were taking an active role and waiting patiently for their turn which helps with their turn taking skills. We included animals based on their interest and they were able to recognize them i.e. brown bear , bird , cat . They were also very interested in making different animal sounds and interacting with other friends .
Its a great way to build a good relationship with their friends and teachers as they express their feelings about what they see that reflects on their understanding about various things
