We’re Going On A Bear Hunt!! Our preschoolers brought their favourite story to life by turning the whole room into a bear hunt adventure. This activity not only enhanced excitement for literacy, but engaged the children on so many different levels. Removing socks and shoes allows for an amazing sensory experience through the soles of their feet. As the children walked through the various surfaces, they recited from memory the lines of the story. They practiced turn-taking with the flashlights and maneuvered their bodies to safely step into each tray. Other learning activities inspired by this book included discussions on hibernation and different types of bears.
