Spring is here and so are new things to discover! While outside, the Toddler class noticed a lot of growth and movement in their garden bed. They discovered some worms and other insects. As an extended activity, the teachers created a garden bed sensory bin in the classroom for them to explore.

Using loose parts and natural elements such as beans and rice, the toddler class took turns “planting” in the soil and filling each other’s cups with garden materials.

They also learned that there are various living things that live beneath the soil, such as insects, grass seeds and flowers.
