Many children returned excited to share stories about the fireworks they watched with their families. To build on their interests and experiences, the children created their own fireworks artwork using paper towel rolls and red and yellow paint. They stamped vibrant patterns onto paper, exploring colors, shapes, and creative expression.
This activity supported the development of fine motor skills, encouraged creativity, and provided opportunities for children to practice communication by sharing their experiences and ideas. It also helped children make connections between their classroom learning and real-life events, creating a meaningful way to continue celebrating Canada Day while following their interests.
