Today our day started with creating our own train tracks.
The children worked together to design and connect the
pieces, sharing ideas and testing how the trains would
move. This activity supported “Play and Playfulness”
and “Communication and Literacies” as children
planned, problem-solved, and expressed their thinking
through building.
For our main activity, we made stamp ghosts! Children
explored different shapes and patterns, stamping them
onto ghost outlines. This encouraged creativity, fine
motor development, and symbolic thinking, connecting
to the FLIGHT learning dispositions of “Imagination
and Creativity” and “Engaging with Others, Materials,
and the World.”
In the sensory bin, we played a Halloween-themed game
where children searched for hidden objects related to
Halloween. This invited curiosity, exploration, and
observation, supporting the FLIGHT goals of “Well-
being” and “Playful Exploration.”
Later, we went outside, where the children loved rolling
tires and experimenting with movement. They explored
physical coordination, teamwork, and joy in active
play, connecting to “Well-being” and “Physical Play
and Movement.”
Overall, today the children demonstrated creativity,
curiosity, and collaboration as they explored through play and discovery
