Our Junior Kindergarten students were exploring music using kitchen materials. This activity creates a playful environment for the students allowing them to discover that music is fun and working with materials that are our everyday day items, with no objective in mind which can be enjoyable and creative. This builds on their confidence as they choose and to experiment with the different items, exploring actively with all their senses. This activity enhances their development on music regarding the areas of sounds, volume, rhythm and tempo.
