As Chinese New Year is approaching, our Tiny Tykes friends asked questions about the celebration. One child commented, “Teacher, we already celebrated New Year.”
Other children explained, “Chinese people have different celebrations, like Chinese New Year.”
The teacher then explained that different countries celebrate special occasions in different ways. To learn more, we decided to create a Chinese dragon art activity.
Through this activity, it supports the children with understanding the world, expressive art and design, communication and language, and personal, social and emotional development.
