To kick off the national “Love of Reading” Week, we read “Pete the Cat and his Four Groovy Buttons”! We listened to the audio at the same time so that the children could learn and sing the song! We also had a preschool friend volunteer to help take off the buttons of Pete’s shirt along with the story! The children were very engaged with this story and the “Pete the Cat” series might have to be a new staple in our preschool story rotation!
This story teaches children about looking on the bright side of things, being grateful for what you do have and basic subtraction (ie. 4-1=3)! They did such a great job following along with the story! ❤️
