In preschool the children have been learning about firefighters! With this activity the children were able to expand on firefighters while pretending to put out the fires in the buildings. The children used their dramatic play skills to dress up and pretend to be different first responders like police officers and firefighters. They also used their gross motor skills to put out the fires with the big “hoses” and their fine motor skills to put them out with spray bottles. This was a great activity to help start the conversation and to learn about fires and fire safety. The children had so much fun saving the town and putting out all the fires!
