Tiny Tykes Activities

During circle time, tykes had fun exploring static electricity by rubbing balloons on their heads and placing it above a butterfly to make it “fly”, supporting curiosity, observation and cause and effect skills.  For actives, tykes mixed vinegar and baking soda to create colourful fizz and watched a volcano erupt on the tuff tray, encouraging sensory exploration and early science concepts.  They also decorated the letter A for alligator and traced the letter A using pompoms, strengthening letter recognition and fine motor skills.
