Here at Tiny Hoppers Kanata North, all of our friends from Toddler to Preschool are so intrigued by all things transportation! We have been learning all about the different types of transportation and how they help us in our every day lives. What better way to encompass their creativity and knowledge than to build our own street tracks to drive our toy cars and airplanes on!
In preschool, the children made tunnels and a ramp for their vehicles using cardboard boxes. They also washed their boats at the boat wash! In Toddlers, our teachers made a giant ramp for the children to race their cars down! We are learning all about roads signs and traffic lights along the way, oh what fun!
This well loved interest has opened so many learning experiences for our littles here at Tiny Hoppers Kanata North! We are loving learning about snow plows now that Winter is here, and watching them though our windows doing their job of clearing the snow. Learning about the different types of transportation fosters a child’s knowledge of how people get from one place to another in the world, and the reasons why.
