In preparation for Thanksgiving, our JK2 class showed interest in pumpkins and turkey. To extend their interests, teachers arranged a “pre-thanksgiving” lunch complete with homemade pumpkin cookies! Our friends learned how to make the tasty treats by watching the teachers add the ingredients to a mixer and making the dough. Everybody got a chance to make their own cookies by molding and cutting them to their desired shapes. After baking, they ate it as an afternoon snack and shared it with friends in the other classrooms. It was a perfect way to show thanks and gratefulness to one another!
