March has been a month full of discovery, creativity, and connection here at Tiny Hoppers – Newmarket South Childcare Centre in Newmarket! As we begin to welcome the early signs of spring, our classrooms have been buzzing with hands-on learning experiences and joyful moments.
🌱 Welcoming the Signs of Spring
With the changing season, our little learners have been exploring nature and talking about the transitions from winter to spring. From observing melting snow to discussing how plants grow, children have been engaging in sensory activities, planting projects, and creative art experiences inspired by nature. These activities help build curiosity while supporting early science skills.
🎨 Creative Expression
March has been filled with colourful artwork and open-ended creative projects. Our educators have encouraged children to express themselves through painting, music, movement, and dramatic play. Creative experiences help build confidence, language skills, and social development — all while having lots of fun!
🍀 Celebrating Together
This month, we also explored themes of kindness, friendship, and community. Through group discussions and collaborative activities, children practiced sharing, teamwork, and empathy. Building strong social-emotional skills is a big part of our learning approach at Tiny Hoppers.
📚 Learning Through Play
Play-based learning continues to be at the heart of our curriculum. Whether it’s building with blocks, engaging in sensory bins, or participating in circle time discussions, every activity is designed to support cognitive, physical, and emotional growth in a nurturing environment.
