Tiny Tykes 1&2– Happy fall! The children enjoy seeing the changes in the weather and trees. We are happy to say all the children are adjusting quite well to the new preschool routines. The children are becoming familiar with all their friends. They are working hard and exploring their names and letters in many different prints and mediums. Great job friends! The parachute games have been a huge success in the Gross Motor and Physical Fitness of the children. For October, we will be adding pumpkins, spiders and ghosts to the games, music and dances.

Please remember to dress your children for the cooler weather, we still play outside. We would like to remind you to please have a change of clothes for your children in case we get messy or wet, and to remember to label each item as it is impossible to remember exactly which clothing goes with which child.

This month we will be doing some fun Thanksgiving and Halloween crafts. Sensory play is perfect for young children and the month of October is extra exciting, it’s messy, fun and a big favorite. Sensory bins let children explore, create and discover. It is both social and independent play. It will help develop language, hand -eye coordination, as well as acquiring problem solving skills. We will be playing with slime, goop, bubbles, spaghetti and much more. Our sensory play will not only be in the bin but in bags, bottles, boxes, or containers. Watch the smiles and excitement in your children’s faces.

Halloween party Oct 31st , we will be trick or treating at the local stores and we have many activities planned. Bring your costumes for lots of scary fun!

A Message from our Owners-We are getting so excited that our new infant and additional toddler room renovations will be completed very soon! There has been limited disruption and we are so pleased with how the rooms are looking! Our infant room will allow for only 6 infants, which we felt is better for babies transitioning from being at home with Mom and Dad rather than a room of 10 which the Ministry allows for. With having the infant room, the toddler spots will get filled more quickly, so if you know of anyone hoping to secure a spot, please let them know to sign up quickly!
