Our toddlers LOVE to pick up, put in and dump things out around the classroom. The educators used this as a starting point for their cognitive activities which allowed them to do all of that while learning their colours, sorting and working on their fine motor skills. Incorporating their interests in the activities we provide is exactly what emergent curriculum is all about and keeps our little learners engaged and having fun!
