Importance of Sensory Play

2020-11-04

Sensory play is an important aspect of our curriculum at Tiny Hoppers. We like to provide our children with a variety of manipulatives. Studies have shown that sensory play can encourage problem-solving, increase brain development, regulate emotions and behavior, and improve fine motor skills.

Our Tiny Hoppers Tots 1 classroom began this month with their Jungle theme.  The children were introduced to animals, pinecones, stones, and playdough where they were encouraged to let their imagination loose and create a habitat for their jungle animals. These are some of the many activities that we like to introduce our children to daily.
