We have been growing our sunflowers in the Toddler playground here at Tiny Hoppers Sportsworld. As they started to grow taller, the children had fun observing them. To enhance this experience further, the teachers in the toddler room offered children a chance to stand beside and see how tall they were compared to the very very tall flowers! The toddler teachers also setup the dramatic area indoors to reflect the sunflowers and bees that they were seeing outside. The kiddos even got a chance to paint with the sunflowers! So many ways to bring nature into the classroom and make learning about science, math, and art fun!
